An invitation to

The Nature of Business Pioneers and New Invitees

We’re looking forward to having you back for our second The Nature of Business gathering in Panama, January 30th to February 4th to learn more and to dig deeper while drawing on real world experience in our business, family and civic lives.

In a richly interactive program on the theme of Designing with Nature chaired by Prof. David Ricketts, you’ll be teaming up with Verne Harnish, David Meerman Scott, Jay Harman, Francesca Bertone, the other members of our content team who you pioneers met this year and new participants, including:

Ubisoft Senior Vice President and video game design legend Tommy François whose current projects include the production of the Avatar game to debut and evolve with film maker James Cameron’s four blockbuster Avatar sequels scheduled for release starting at the end of 2019.
Harvard Business School guest lecturer Alistair Croll, who is the author of four books on technology and business including the best-selling Lean Analytics, and has launched and chaired some of the world’s leading technology conferences. Alistair will MC our opening symposium introducing our partnership with Ubisoft on what we’re internally calling “the Game Experiment”, Geoversity’s ambitious project with Ubisoft aimed at testing the possibilities linking the video game experience with education and socially positive action.
The celebrated landscape designer Edwina von Gal whose clients and collaborators include Ralph Lauren and the architect Frank Gehry. This time we’ll really delve into the topic of natural and “biocultural” design with someone who we know you’ll delight in meeting.

With The Nature of Business 2018 (NoB18) you will experience:

  • Much more interaction and with a focus on case studies drawn from the companies represented in our group.
  • Real opportunities for one-on-one coaching on subjects of special concern to you and to your company. All members of the faculty will remain with the group for the entirety of the program.
  • More time in natural environments. We are especially looking forward to our time together at Hacienda del Mar on Isla San José, the private island conservancy in the Pearl Islands archipelago.
  • You’ll be spending a total of three nights at Central Hotel in Casco Antiguo, Panama City’s historic district.

In subsequent bulletins, you’ll be receiving more information from NoB18 Program Chair Dr. David Ricketts and Nathan Gray about the theme of Designing with Nature, the case studies we’ll be exploring, our educational objectives, and bios of the participants and special guests.

Below is a summary of The Nature of Business 2018 program and tuition payment information.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Warm regards,

Nathan Gray, Claus Kjaerby and Lider Sucre,

Geoversity secretariat
